Founded in Paris in 2009, Trio Karénine is now recognized as one of the most talented ensembles on the international scene. Guided from the outset by the musicians of the Ysaÿe Quartet, their commitment, their thirst for demanding standards and their stylistic research would later lead them along the paths of other great musicians: Menahem Pressler, Alfred Brendel, Hatto Beyerle, Ferenc Rados, Jean-Claude Pennetier…

Since its success at the Munich Competition in 2013, the Trio Karénine has performed on the most prestigious stages in Europe, Asia and North America (Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Philharmonie de Paris, Berlin Konzerthaus, New York Frick Collection), and forged loyal links with renowned festivals such as the Folles Journées in Nantes, Tokyo and Warsaw, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany…

The musicians of the Trio Karénine are keen to tackle a varied repertoire, as reflected in their original discography for the Mirare label, which has received the best reviews (5 diapasons, Choc Classica, Gramophone Magazine Choice, nomination for the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik…), where Schumann, Ravel and Schönberg rub shoulders with rarer opuses by Tailleferre, Weinberg or Suk.
