Canberra International Music Festival is seeking a General Manager based in Canberra. Founded in 1994 as a chamber music festival, CIMF’s artistic scope now embraces the breadth of the Western classical tradition alongside classical traditions from around the world, diverse Indigenous music, and the spectrum of contemporary art music.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team and managing the operations, fund raising, finances and communication systems between staff, board and stakeholders, working closely with the Artistic Director. Desirable attributes include professional experience in arts administration or business management, excellent communication skills, leadership skills and a vision for the festival’s future. A keen interest in music is strongly preferred. Your priorities include stakeholder engagement, development and communications in addition to managing the operation in collaboration with our team.
The position is a .6FTE, with a salary pro-rated at $98,000 pa. The position involves weekends and evening work, as required and revolves around the annual festival cycle.
